KBE Resolution Affirming Its Commitment to Racial Equity The state board of education makes statements resolving to promote equity in schools across the state. There is no mention of other factors that contribute to poor academic performance. The blame is solely focused on racism.
KET RESOURCES TO ADDRESS RACE AND RACISM FOR FAMILIES, EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS A list of free resources with other trusted public media partners to use as tools to support learning as a means of “combatting racism” in Kentucky and America. It is from one side of the issue without regard to multiple perspectives.
KEA Professionalism-Leading Just Schools The Leading Just Schools Training is designed to help educators understand the needs regarding diversity, social justice, and equity as it relates to education. The purpose is for participants to work on understanding equity and to make plans to implement equitable practices in their classrooms, schools, districts, and communities. The training focuses on “implicit bias”, privilege, and “systemic racism”, assuming that everyone from a specific group is inherently bias or racist.
NPBTS Equity Standards
Harvard Project Implicit Measure implicit bias/hidden bias These tests are often written to garner certain outcomes. Everyone has “bias” or preferences. The question is, do they act on them?
